LÉGENDE
Deux amants sont devenus arbres
Pour avoir oublier le
temps
Leurs pieds ont
poussé dans la terre
Leurs bras sont
devenus des branches
Toutes ces graines
qui s’envolent
Ce sont leurs pensées
emmêlées
La pluie ni le vent
ni le gel
Ne pourront pas les
séparer
Ils ne forment qu’un
seul tronc
Dur et veiné comme du
marbre

Today we are going to talk about St. Valentine´s day
Every February 14th, we celebrated Valentine´s day by giving flowers,
candy, gifts and cards to those we love, all in the name of St. Valentine. But
who is this mysterious saint, and where did these traditions come from?
The story of St
Valentine´s day has got two different versions
(read the story)
Legend has it that Valentine was a priest who served during the third
century Rome. There was an Emperor at that time by the name of Claudious II. He
decided that single men made better soldiers than those that were married. With
this thought in mind he outlawed marriage for young men in hopes of building a
stronger military base. Supposedly, Valentine decided this decree just wasn´t
fair and chose to marry young couples secretly. When Emperor Claudious II found
out about Valentine´s actions, he had him put to death.

ME (Sam Smith)..3.29`
Another legend had it that Valentine was an imprisoned man who fell in
love with his jailor’s daughter.
Before he was put to death he sent the first valentine himself when he
wrote her a letter and signed it ,Your
Valentine, words still used on cards today/
Perhaps we’ll never know the true identity and story behind the man
named St. Valentine, but……it’s true February is the month to celebrate love …2´
